The meeting place this year will be Red Hill Community Reserve - plenty of space to park your cars, and pick up your walking program. We will proceed to amble along a purpose built walking track to Red Hill South. After stopping at Red Hill we will walk along a beautiful historic rail trail to a private vineyard to meet winemakers showcasing a range of their wines and then down to Stonier and Merricks General Wine Store in Merricks. Join local vignerons to celebrate the end of the 2014 harvest from Red Hill to Merricks...around 10 kilometres. return to Red Hill Reserve by bus.

The ninth annual Montalto Vineyard and Olive Grove Abundance festival is the celebration of this year's olive harvest.

Celebrate Abundance in the Chef's Hat Montalto Restaurant on Saturday and Sunday with the famous shared table lunch.
A festive day awaits you, with olive martinis or chilled flutes of the delicious sparkling wine on arrival. The dining room will be transformed into an olive grove as Chef Barry Davis showcases the flavours of the Mediterranean and versatility of the estate grown olives and seasonal oils. Challenge for the mantle of Olive pit spitting champion and wear the championship crown!

Entrée - Olive oil marinated salmon and scallops with a salad of endive, green olive and lemon salsa
Main – Slow braised Moroccan shoulder of lamb, peperonata, buck wheat and polenta cake, gremolata
Dessert – Meyer lemon curd tart, confit lemon, crème chantilly

Open amateur winemaking competition organised by Frankston Amateur Winemakers Guild Inc. showcasing home-made wines from fruit, vegetables, flowers, herbs and red/ white grape wines.
Lunch available at Josephine's Restarant (adjacent to wineshow venue at 'The Barn')

Overview Open amateur winemaking competition organised by Frankston Amateur Winemakers Guild Inc. showcasing home-made wines from fruit, vegetables, flowers, herbs and red/white grape wines. Competition categories to be judged include still, sparkling, fortified wines and liqueurs.

The wine show is open to the public on Sunday 26 August 2012. Entry donation of $10 includes complimentary wine tasting wine glass . In addition to tasting the many wines available, you may meet the winemakers and learn the techniques required to make your own wine. Winemaking information is available and applications for new members are most welcome.
