The cream of international tennis and their legion of fans congregates at Melbourne Park for the first Grand Slam of the year.
The world's best tennis players are showcased at Melbourne Park for the first Grand Slam of the year. Australian Open 2008 was the biggest and best in the tournament's history, setting an all-time attendance record of 605,735 fans through the gates.
The Australian Open gets bigger and better every year, and in 2012, the Grand Slam event will be the world's biggest stage with top tennis elite battling for the Grand Slam title so don't miss the chance to be a part of Australian Open 2014!

Melbourne's Wooden Boat Festival is set for summer fun at the Docklands.
The event, which is designed to promote wooden boat heritage and connect the broader public with the spirit of timber boating, will combine all of the major wooden boat and classic yacht groups in and around Melbourne

The Melbourne Wooden Boat Festival is a biannual festival and will return in February 2016.

The Wooden Boat Festival brings together Melbourne’s major wooden boat and yacht groups to create the ultimate event for classic boat lovers.

The weekend promises an action packed with boat racing, woodworking exhibitions and sailing master classes. There is also a host of free activities for everyone to enjoy.

Bells Beach is an internationally famous surf beach located 100 km south-west of Melbourne, on the Great Ocean Road near the towns of Torquay and Jan Juc. Bells Beach is a long, generous, slightly archaic surf break in the Australian state of Victoria. There isn’t really much "Beach" at Bells Beach. Melbourne International Comedy Festival

Laugh 'til it hurts as the world's premier funny people do their thing and make Melbourne the funniest place on earth.

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) is the third-largest international comedy festival in the world and the largest cultural event in Australia.

Established in 1987, it takes place annually in Melbourne over four weeks in April typically opening on or around April Fool's Day (1 April). The Melbourne Town Hall has served as the festival hub since the early 1990s, but performances are held in venues throughout the city.

Warrnambool May Racing Carnival

The fun and excitement of steeplechasing comes to the seaside town of Warrnambool during Australia's premier regional racing carnival.

The Warrnambool May Racing Carnival is acknowledged as Australia's premier regional racing Carnival. The annual three day event attracts around 35,000 patrons from local, national and international markets.

The highlight of the Carnival is the 'Dominant' Grand Annual Steeplechase, raced over 5500 metres and consisting of 33 jumps. The Annual is the longest thoroughbred race in Australia and has the most jumps of any horse race worldwide.
